Frequently Asked Questions about working with B+P

Booking dates to work with B+P is simple!  

  1. B+P will post available dates/ project details to our designated Slack channels for project pick up! Simply review the projects and let us know by commenting if you would like to be considered for the date.
  2. We make photographer selections once we have 2-3 shooters interested. We select photographers based on a best fit and availability for the date, specific skill or personality fit we feel will be best for the client.

    *B+P does understand that photographers may choose to hold dates for personal bookings however we aim to have our photographers committed and assigned a minimum of 90 days out. 

1. Prepare files for transfer: Format your folder AND Files “client-name-your-name”

2.Upload images to WeTranser HERE.

3. Complete the project close out form for your location, provided above. 

4.Get Paid! Payment will be made within 1 business day upon receipt of both your images and the completed project closeout form.

As required by the IRS, businesses must maintain accurate documentation of employee and contractors including filing the appropriate tax documentation.  Working for B+P as an associate or second shooter is considered contract labor and will require a  W-9  for anyone who earns over $600 within a 1 year period. At the end of the calendar year you will receive a 1099 document from B+P that you will file to the IRS when you do your own taxes.

Additionally, at the time of acceptance, photographers working with Bushel + Peck Photo as a contractor for photography services sign an associate or second shooter agreement that outlines expectations and responsibilities of all parties and also accept project details of each individual job or event to reserve the date. 

There is no official uniform or exact dress code for photographers working under the B+P name. However we expect photographers to use personal discretion and to dress for the event accordingly. Some clients may say, this is a very informal event, please wear jeans! or they may say, this is a black tie event etc.. Photographers should always wear appropriate shoes, pants without holes, collared shirts, or business casual blouses are acceptable.  Please no graphic tees, low cut tops or skirts, garments that have holes or are dirty. 

B+P understands that photography can be taxing and strenuous, especially in the heat! It is appropriate to wear more casual clothing such as shorts/ leggings and a solid shirt for the pre-ceremony items, then change before guests arrive.

All images captured for B+P as work for hire should be considered property of B+P including copyright.

 In the event the client gives permission in their contract to share images, B+P does allow limited use with credit to use images captured by you as photographer while working with B+P, 3 months after delivery to the client. This is covered in our associate agreement more thoroughly.

 

Associates receive a $50 bonus for earning client shout-outs in 5-star wedding reviews. Additionally, referring event clients brings a $100 bonus, while portrait client referrals earn $25.

Frequently Asked Questions For Responding To clients

After the session or event and receive them from the photographer, our editing team promptly shares sneak peeks within 2-3 business days to ensure they align with the clients envisioned editing style. Subsequently, we initiate post-processing of the entire gallery of images. The turnaround time for portrait sessions is 2-3 weeks, while full wedding galleries typically take 4-6 weeks. Upon approval of your proofing gallery, we furnish instructions and a PIN for downloading your high-resolution image files along with the print release.

Each image undergoes a meticulous multi-step process to ensure an outstanding final result: After receiving the gallery, clients have the opportunity to request any necessary adjustments through our revisions process.

Our Editing Process: Standard editing begins with a thorough culling phase, removing misfires and duplicates from your session or event. Subsequently, we perform essential cropping and adjustments, addressing minor blemishes, enhancing lighting, and applying your chosen B+P signature editing styles to create a cohesive and stunning final gallery.

Advanced editing services are also available, such as acne removal, skin retexturing, body shaping and clothing wrinkle remover are available for an additional cost.
